Zhuzhou CRRC Times Electric has rolled out the first train for Wuhan metro Line 21. Its special design is inspired in adorable Finless Porpoise animal, critically endangered in Yangtze by overfishing, pollution and ship movement, giving it a tribute. The 35 km line will have 16 stations. The 100 km/h trainset is equipped for automatic operation. It also features LED lighting that the supplier says can provide 30% energy savings, which equates to around 400 000 yuan over 30 years.
